About

Leadership development grounded in real responsibility

Jerry Dubay founded Folders Reach after a career leading people and operations in demanding environments.

His experience includes senior U.S. Coast Guard leadership, corporate facilitation, executive coaching, organizational effectiveness, and the development of people expected to perform when clarity, trust, and judgment matter.

Across operational and organizational settings, Jerry repeatedly saw the same opportunity: capable people often remain underused, future leaders may wait too long to be noticed, and training can become disconnected from the realities employees face. Folders Reach was created to help organizations recognize that potential earlier and activate it through practical conversation, challenge, reflection, and action.

Jerry does not approach leadership development as a fixed presentation. He listens to the environment, studies the audience, and creates experiences intended to be relevant, engaging, and useful after the event ends. His style is candid, human-centered, operationally grounded, and focused on forward momentum.

Based on Florida's Space Coast, Jerry works with businesses, nonprofits, schools, civic organizations, and community partners interested in stronger leadership, culture, connection, and organizational resilience.

Philosophy

What I believe

  1. Leadership potential can appear long before a position or title.
  2. Organizations frequently possess more capability than they are using.
  3. Onboarding should build lasting connection, not end after an employee's first days.
  4. Training should evolve with the organization and the people it serves.
  5. A company's lived culture matters as much as its published values.
  6. The most useful development connects directly to real decisions, relationships, and work.
  7. Good facilitation creates participation and ownership rather than dependence on the facilitator.

Founder's note

Why Folders Reach

Folders Reach exists to help people and organizations see farther into their own capability. The work begins with leadership advisory, organizational resilience, and custom leadership experiences.

The longer vision includes community talent discovery, earlier development of young and emerging leaders, and expanded opportunities for veterans to continue serving as coaches, facilitators, and leadership advisers.

Start with a conversation.

Bring the challenge, the opportunity, or the audience. The first conversation is about fit, not a sales pitch.
